Children need pediatrics care. During the first few years of life children tend to get sick a lot, because their bodies are still developing immunity to infection. Additionally, when children enter day care or school, they are exposed to other children, and thus potential illnesses. Also, children often use their hands to wipe their eyes and mouths and then will touch their toys, other children, and EVERYTHING else which increases their risk of contracting viruses, infections, diseases, and more!

We diagnose and treat the following illnesses. We also provide well-child checks and complete physicals.

HouseCalls can help with a number of common childhood illnesses, including:

  • Conjunctivitis
  • Croup
  • Ear infection
  • Gastroenteritis
  • Hand, foot, & mouth disease
  • Lice
  • Pinworms
  • Sinus infection
  • Strep throat
  • Rashes
  • Respiratory infections (including the common cold, covid-19, and influenza)
  • Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV)

Because symptoms of many common childhood illnesses can indicate a number of conditions, it’s important to seek medical attention if your child is feeling sick, especially if they are under five years of age. We will perform a complete, thorough examination, including a full check of your child’s ears, nose, and throat, and determine an accurate diagnosis and ensure proper treatment.

If your child is suffering from symptoms book HouseCalls today. Help your little one feel better, faster.

HouseCalls  provides well-child checks for all ages. We also offer physicals for children ages 2 and up.

A child physical with HouseCalls is conducted by a licensed family practitioner and includes:

  • A thorough and complete medical history
  • A full physical examination of all body systems
  • Education for parents and children on common signs of concussion
  • Guidance on necessary immunizations
  • Completion of forms needed for sports, camp, or school participation (forms must be provided by the child’s parent or guardian)

Annual physicals are a great opportunity to ask your child’s provider about any concerns you might have about your child’s growth and development. Licensed providers can offer guidance on how to cope with common changes to your child’s physical or mental health brought on by entering new phases of childhood and adolescence. Providers may also catch previously undiagnosed common conditions during annual physicals, including growth and hormone disorders and musculoskeletal abnormalities such as scoliosis.

Your child’s doctor can also provide information about what, if any, modifications should be made to their nutrition, sleep, and exercise regimens, to ensure they continue to maintain good health as they grow. For children who play sports, an annual physical is a good opportunity to discuss how to prevent and treat common sports injuries (including stretches and other warm-ups) and what healthy snacks to eat to maintain their energy during sports season. Your child’s provider can provide guidance on these and other health issues and provide recommendations for resources which can help you keep your child safe and healthy.

If your child needs a physical for school, camp, or sports team participation, schedule HouseCalls Today.
